1.0.1 This code was established with a view to implementing the relevant current national codes and policies, unifying the technical requirements, guaranteeing the design quality, improving the design level and making the engineering up to state-of-the-art technologies, economic rationality, safety and reliability, as well as easy operation, management and maintenance in the design of oil-gas gathering and transportation engineering. 

1.0.2 This code is applicable to the design of oil-gas gathering and transportation engineering for territorial oilfields, gas fields and shallow water coastal gas fields. 

1.0.3 Not only the requirements stipulated in this code, but those in the relevant current compulsory provisions of the nation also shall be complied with for the design of oil-gas gathering and transportation engineering.
